The media insist on me having to look at and read about this ridiculous extempore. They perhaps wish to draw my attention to the similarity between the behavior of the current governing elites and those of late Rome - shortly before it vanished. But wait, there might be another twist to this: Realizing how poor the pre-election campaign of his party (ODS) is, Mr. Topolanek and his marketing agency might have decided that an unorthodox way of boosting their chances could just be the way to go. Compared to even fully clothed Paroubek (the leader of the competition), naked ODS leader looks really attractive. Might draw some undecided voters or chronic non-voters to the blue side.

Just wondering aloud: What could the Socialist Party, equally scandalous, answer be ? I got it, I got it! Mr Rath, naked only upstairs and a slogan: I gave the shirt of my back to the people who had to pay for this Topolanek’s excess...
